live like there's no tomorrow
Sunday, October 11

so here i am studying.

or supposedly studying rather.

all these facebook quizzes are whizzing by, and then stuff like "what would you do if you were going to die tomorrow?" comes up, and like i dunno how many people answer the same old cliche, "the same thing. live like there's no tomorrow!" or something like that.

heh riiiiight.

if i were to live like there's no tomorrow, i wouldnt exactly be wasting me time studying right? or in this case, pretending to study... i mean i should totally assume that theres no exam tomorrow, and just go on with life, as if today were my last.

but alas, we know this is far from feasible. because i'm going to wake up tomorrow morning and most probably find that i'm still alive (by God's grace :D), then i'm gonna be hit by the realisation that oh noes, i got chem exam! and i didnt study for it yesterday because i was living as if today wouldnt come. oooh what a tragedy in the making.

but then if i adopted the same philosophy for that day, i would decide, you know, since there may not be a tomorrow, i shall spend my day ponning school, skipping my exam cos there supposedly isnt any tomorrow. riiiiight. before i know it, weeks from now i'll be sitting in class facing disciplinary action, or failing my exams and getting retained. so much for living like there's no tomorrow...

heh philosophers are weird.

they just say random stuff that sounds cheem. then laymen stare at it and either go "oooh thats cool" or "thats crap".

philosophers should go get a life XP
